How does Visual Studio .NET load so fast?

I have always wondered how Microsoft's Visual Studio .NET could load so fast compared to Borland's Delphi 8 and now Delphi 2005. Sergey has some interesting insights into the workings of VS.NET and how add-in packages are loaded dynamically when needed. Very good read from a good developer.
